This is how it started...
My notebook was essential for me during this time. Writing is like thinking. When you start typing, you don't know where it's going. Therefore, it fits into my life. It also means dealing with the unknown.
I made a very conscious decision for doing so. For many years, I worked as a psychologist. Despite the tempting package of a company car, a spacious office and guaranteed savings, I chose to work only part-time to write. From then, brave steps: studying a second time - philosophy and literature, than off to Fiji, changing my perspective as if I would open up a book.
What inspires me?
To freshly cover the hostel bed upon arrival. New countries. Heat. The massive rain in Fiji, and the calm afterwards. Aeroplane dinner. To have catchy tunes of songs whose language I don't understand. Black tea with fresh honey. The scent of roasted tortillas.
